So, how about a weekend report?
Friday:
Work, work, work in the morning and afternoon. At round about 5:00pm several colleagues and I went to a bar for "happy hour." I had lots of beer and one "Jagerbomb" and got home around 11:00. At that point I watched some television and then went to bed.
Saturday:
Strange as it is to say, I don't remember much of what I did Saturday. I know I read a bit, but other than that I don't think I accomplished much of anything.
Sunday:
I went to church! Yes, I actually made it there. Went to a Missouri Synod Lutheran church and it was pretty good. It wasn't very "holy-roller" as my father refers to the Missouri Synod nor was it very Catholic as my mother says. When I informed her of what I had done she was silent for a while. She doesn't much like the idea of me going to another church.
Oh, I also watched the Bears beat the Packers!!!!! And I read The Heart of a Dog and watched Miracle. It was a good book and a good movie. I also had a crepe for dinner.
Re: Sunday and holy roller Lutherans. I know a minister ordained by the Pentecostal Holiness Church who, for reasons of local ministerial scarcity, served as the pastor of a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church for a time. This might possibly have been the only time when the worlds of the holy rollers and the LCMS actually collided.

Nice Smiths reference in the title. I think all post headings should be drawn from Smiths lyrics, don't you?
