I liked Gothbot. I had to deal with a Gothette this past weekend so watching it was like a poignant, piercing remembrance of the darkness and the pain.

The song by Loituma is called "Ieva's polka" and you can find the lyrics to it furthest down on the page (song #10.)
Very observant - it is a Finnish dialect from Savo in Eastern Finland. Sometimes Finns themselves find it troublesome to decipher what those Savo people say.
Finnish is not necessarily a pretty language phonetically speaking, but the complex grammar makes both song lyrics and poetry amazingly deep and emotional. Much more so than English.
I enjoy Loituma, and have many Northside CDs. My favorite is Garmarna, although their sample CDs are good for a variety. Garmarna's Hildegaard von Bingen CD is fantastic. Their Vengence CD is good, too, the lead singer's voice is lovely.
I don't know what to say about Lordi, other than Lord help us. I'm used to crappy europop (and hope to get my fill this summer), but I'm not sure I can stomach crappy eurodeathmetal. His outfit is so retrogoth it is absurdly beatiful.
Any language with 15 cases and 4 moods, not to bother counting the tenses, is bound to be able to express an awful lot with a very few words. And I do think it's nice to listen to.

OK, I am really going to infest this place with Finnish oddities - so here:

Think of it as a Finnish version of Schnappi, or something...

Rannva, what are these people singing about? There isn't a clue anywhere, though it sounds like a folk song.

Polka--Finland--mind exploding--does not compute--
The dialect seems more sing-songy than standard Finnish--if possible, there are even more vowels.

Surely there's room here for one more Finnish oddity (bonus: in English!).
